The air conditioning and refrigeration equipment bases its operating principle on the recirculation of air through a heat exchange battery. During this process there is a transfer of latent heat that causes condensation of water inside the fins of the battery where micro-organisms are generated which are harmful both to the health of the workers and to some of the products they manufacture.

Additionally, the accumulation of bacteria and mold, among others, cause the partial clogging of the air flow surface, reducing the cooling capacity as well as the optimal ventilation flow rate, resulting in higher energy consumption.

These microorganisms can be eliminated through UV-C light, being one of the most reliable. UV light includes in its electromagnetic aspect the C band, which is a natural disinfectant of the medium due to its wavelength that is effective against this type of organism. This type of light makes it possible to destroy and inactivate the different bacteria, molds and viruses that appear in the air, eliminating their DNA.

Our UVC light disinfection method consists of installing the system in the battery of the HVCA equipment. The benefits of this system consist of preventing the growth of microorganisms, disinfecting the air, preventing allergies and finally optimizing the energy efficiency of the equipment.
