Machine-side chillers, compact units specifically designed to serve each process independently, ensure precise and efficient cooling, and also provide greater stability during process phases. Portable chillers are units to control the temperature of processes, they are cooled with water from an external cooling system (usually an adiabatic cooler).
These units allow the temperature of the process fluid to be controlled from 0 to 90 °C (190 °F). They can work both in heating mode, through electrical resistors, and in cooling mode.
Each unit can work in 3 different ways:
During this phase, the electrical resistances are activated that increase and maintain the process temperature in accordance with the production requirements.
When cooling is required, the controller can activate the unit’s built-in chiller, which produces chilled water that is then supplied to the temperature control zones; These, thanks to the automatic control valves, maintain the set temperatures within the selected range with high precision.
In the event that, during the cooling phase, the temperature of the water (coming from the external cooling system) is lower than that required by the process, the compressor turns off automatically and the external system performs the cooling directly. of the automatic Free-Cooling valve.
